1 Corinthians 6:11
11: There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you.
1 Corinthians 1:2
- We are writing to the church of God in Corinth, you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did all Christians everywhere--whoever calls upon the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and theirs.
Acts 22:16

1 Corinthians 1:30

- So you see, we are made right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
- Rahab the prostitute is another example of this. She was made right with God by her actions--when she hid those messengers and sent them safely away by a different road.
Romans 3:26
- And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus.
- Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith.
- So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
- After all, God is not the God of the Jews only, is he? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.
- There is only one God, and there is only one way of being accepted by him. He makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.
Galatians 3:24
- Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian and teacher to lead us until Christ came. So now, through faith in Christ, we are made right with God.
Psalms 51:7
- Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
